Warm Greetings !�

The month of April brings us even longer days, warmer temperatures, and the return of residents and birds that have spent the winter in warmer climates.� The next meeting of the Town Board is scheduled for Monday, April 11^th at 7:00 p.m.� Some of the items that will be covered at this meeting include: zoning officer's report, town clerk's report, supervisor's report, committee reports, consideration of a town credit card, Employee Handbook review, cell tower update, and an initial report from the Zoning Amendment Advisory Committee.� On Thursday, April 7^th the Town Board will conduct their monthly agenda meeting at which they will review agenda items scheduled for the April 11^th meeting.� In addition, at 6:00 PM prior to the agenda meeting, the third meeting of the Town Hall Building Committee will be conducted.� At this third meeting there will be a presentation by the survey committee, member reports on possible available sites, review of earlier designs considered by the Town Of Saratoga, review of visits to newly constructed town halls in the county, and town hall use and space needs.���

Niagara Mohawk has informed the town that in an attempt to proactively find gas leaks, gas distribution lines within the town will be inspected.� This inspection will start in April and will take place in the early morning hours.� Niagrara� Mohawk employees will be easily identifiable.� The Department of State has informed the Town that our Quality Communities Grant has been received and will be given careful consideration.� Everyone is reminded that the monthly town newsletter, monthly calendar, and minutes of all town meetings are on the internet at www.townofsaratoga.com

Saratoga Lake Association News

Residents are encouraged to join the SLA for 2005.� Dues are only $25. for the year.� The next general membership meeting of the SLA will be held on May 26^th� at Panza�s Restaurant at 7:00 PM.� The Annual meeting of the SLA is scheduled for July 28^th at Panza�s Restaurant.� The NY 9P bridge crossing Fish Creek is on the DOT list for upgrades. New York State Farmland Protection Program & Saratoga County Farmland and Open Space Preservation Program

The Saratoga County Farmland and Open Space Preservation Committee has provided the Town Hall with copies of the grant application for 2005.� The package includes the program criteria for eligible projects, the grant application form for open space projects and the grant application form for� agriculture.�� The application period opens on April 1^st and closes June 30^th.

Schuylerville-Victory Water Board News

The Water Board is currently working on the water budget.� The next water workshop will be held in Victory on April 12^th at 6:00 p.m. and the next Water Board meeting will be held in Schuylerville on April 19^th at 7:00 p.m.��

Quaker Springs Fire Department News

The Quaker Springs Fire Department conducted their highly successful annual Corned-beef & Cabbage dinner at the firehouse on March 13th. The annual membership banquet was conducted on Saturday, March 19^th.� On Sunday, May 1^st the annual Chicken Barbecue will be conducted from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.� Tickets are $8. for adults, $5. for children age 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.� Take out meals are available.� For reservations call 584-3829 or 584-2758.�� The QSFD is looking for people that would like to volunteer to become Firefighters or Fire Police.�

David Nevins Fire Department News

The annual David Nevins Fire Department Banquet will be conducted on April 9^th at the Greenwich Elks.� New line officers were elected on March 31^st. The David Nevins Fire Department conducts BINGO every Sunday beginning at 5:30 P.M. in the large meeting room at the Victory Office Complex.

General Schuyler Emergency Squad News

����������� To help raise money for their new building to be located on Route 29 between Louden Road and Homestead Road, The GSES is staging a variety show at the Schuylerville High School Auditorium on Friday, April 29^th at 7:00 PM.� Your support of this activity is encouraged. �The GSES is working with architects and builders on plans for their new facilities.� In addition, they will be pursuing various grant sources to obtain new AEDs, a plymovent exhaust system, and special biological safety jackets.

March For Parks

The twelfth annual March For Parks will be conducted on Saturday, April 30^th� at the Saratoga National Historical Park.� Many activities are scheduled throughout the day.
